U2, in the name of Eze

29 May 2021

It is in Eze-sur-mer that Bono, the charismatic leader of U2, has owned a house since the 90s : the villa Les Roses. A certainly imposing property but which exudes the simplicity of an afternoon spent with the family on the pebbles of the coast. The villa is in fact located on the edge of the railway line, just above the public beach of Eze. Bono and his family but also the other members of U2 meet there several times a year between two tours or albums to recharge their batteries. The Edge also owns a villa located a stone's throw from that of his fellow singer. The two other members of U2, Larry Mullen Jr and Adam Clayton, are installed in Beaulieu and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. To meet Bono, go to L’Anjuna on Eze beach or the African Queen on Beaulieu harbor where the singer is accustomed.

The villa Les Roses will have served as the backdrop for three U2 clips. "Electrical Storm", the only unreleased track record on their second Best Of record in 2002, and two alternative versions of the well-known "Beautiful Day" and "Stuck in a moment" shot in 2001.

If you also want to stay between Eze and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and perhaps meet one of the members of U2 at the corner of a beach or a terrace, consult our listings of the most beautiful villas of the Côte d’Azur for seasonal rental : https://www.valmontriviera.com...
